2009 Toyota SIENNA Steering problems & defects.

Toyota SIENNA Steering problems : 2.

Went To Dealership For An Alignment, Car Drifted To The Left. They Told Me The Steering Shaft Was Very Worn And Had To Be Replaced. Had To Install A New Steering Intermediate Shaft And Shaft Assembly. This Was Covered Under My Extended Warranty, But There Is No Way A Steering Shaft Should Be Worn Out At 30000 Miles! There Has To Be A Defect In The Steering Shaft. Lucky, I Had The Alignment Done Before My Planned 700 Mile Trip. *jb

Steering Problems with 2009 Toyota sienna XLE : The Steering wheel is very hard To turn and it got locked, it seems like I lost the power Steering. The problem disappeared after restarting the van . This is really very danger if travelling on free-ways… As i have seen more complaints with ref to the same with previous modles. This problem has been reported to Toyota Ohio. Also in the past, check engine and VSC lights were ON though I reported to Toyota after investigation (almost 10 days it was in garage) they replaced computer system on their cost since they agreed that’s the Toyota problem. However, the problem didn’t fixed permanently even after replacing computer still, every second day engine, VSC lights pop up due to this, gas paddle got Locked down (i.e.,it wont allow to press gas paddle it will be locked) the only way to move on is… I have to stop engine and restart ..
